ARTWorkSF Continues Heating Up the Art World!!

Many of you have written to The Shadow asking what is going on with ARTWorkSF these days. Unfortunately, The Shadow has been very tied up in day-to-day activities and has not been able to blog as much as he would like to. Everything will be up soon, we promise.

But The Shadow needs to bring a couple of things to your attention happening within the next seven days.

Tonight will be the closing party for the 4th Annual Cafe Show. This show is not only an art exhibition, but it also includes live performances and a silent auction. The closing night party for the Cafe Show will be held from 5-9 p.m. tonight at SOMARTS, 934 Brannan Street (Between 8th & 9th Streets). A suggested donation of $5-$10 at the door (to benefit SOMARTS) is requested. The theater opens up into the gallery for live performances with special appearance byVOODOO CABARET, The Krelkins, Christina Simpson, Svetiana Jovanovic and a surprise special guest. There will be a hosted Hangar One Vodka and wine bar at the event as well. And don't forget the silent auction -- there are 200 works of art for sale.

The second event The Shadow has to mention will be even more exciting.........

On Wednesday, August 23, ARTWorkSF presents its annual "One Night Stand" show. This show, which will also be held at SOMARTS, 934 Brannan Street, is not one to miss. And, as the name states, it will be ONE NIGHT ONLY!!

One Night Stand is a benefit for the San Francisco Sex Information Center and the Center for Sex and Culture, along with the SF Artists Resource Center. The show is from 5-9 p.m. Admission is $10+ Donation (the more you donate the more "Goodies" you are promised). Sexy, romantic and fetish attire is recommended and encouraged. The Shadow will have more on this show next week. For now, be sure to add it to your calendar -- you will regret missing this.
