The Shadow Views A Piece of My Mind

After the Out of the Fog reception at City Hall, The Shadow ventured to the Reaves Gallery in Hayes Valley for an artist reception for artist Lucky Rapp and her work "a piece of my mind".

The exhibit also features new works from artist Brian McDonald -- who has been featured on this blog in the past.

This was a fascinating exhibit.  Lucky Rapp's work is an intricate puzzle which gives her thoughts over textbook pictures of the brain.  The pictures on this blog do not do the work justice -- you would really have to see them live.

The Shadow last saw Brian McDonald during Week 2 of Open Studios in the Reaves Gallery.  His new works are excellent and also must be seen in person to appreciate.

This was a well-attended opening, complete with wine, vodka and a DJ.  A good time was had by all.
