The First Major Victim of the Writer's Strike

The Shadow has learned several hours ago that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has canceled the Golden Globes award ceremony scheduled for this Sunday. The major reason for the cancellation is that many of the actors who were nominated refuses to cross the picket lines that will be set up by the Writer's Guild of America that night.

The Shadow will have more to say on this strike in the coming days but with the Golden Globe awards now canceled, is the Academy Awards far behind?
