The Shadow Views Art for All Seasons
The Shadow has made many friends in the artist world during the time that this blog has been in existence. Tonight The Shadow viewed a new show from an old friend starting a new venture. The show is entitled "Art for All Seasons".
Matt McKinley, Senior Curator for ARTWorkSF, has now started his own venture entitled McKinley Art Solutions. And tonight, in collaboration with ARTWorkSF, McKinley Art Solutions presented its first art exhibit at SomArts Gallery in the South of Market Area of San Francisco.
Artists showing at this inaugural exhibit are:
- Kristine Mays
- Kellyann Gilson Lyman
- Sevilla Granger
- Chris Adessa
- Andrea Ray
- Priya Assal Gheyson
- AnneKarin Glass
- Rick Begneaud
- Sherry Miller
- Dimitri Kourounotis
- Eric Bohr
- Kerin Moldenhauer
- Carlos Loarca
- Betsie Miller-Kusz
In addition, artist Kellyann Gilson Lyman -- one of The Shadow's closest friends -- kept children attending the reception entertained by sponsoring a community project for kids. She provided a canvas and art materials and let the kids go to town on the canvas based on a theme that she conceived. The kids had a great time!

This was a great first effort by McKinley Art Solutions and The Shadow would highly recommend seeing this show. But you must hurry -- this exhibit will only be shown through Saturday, December 22, 2007. You can view the exhibit at SomArts Gallery, 934 Brannan Street (at 8th Street) in San Francisco during regular business hours.
