The Shadow Visits Another Art Opening

The past Friday, The Shadow was one of many people in the office of San Francisco District 5 Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi as he hosted his monthly art reception.

The featured artists at this exhibit were Amy Auerbach and Ethel Mays.

Amy is showing photography from the series Vanishing Waterfront and Other Destinations, a collection of dream-like toned gelatin silver prints. Ethel will exhibit Waterwork, a series of photographic images which addresses the idea of public water compositions as abstract art.

This exhibit will run through November 15, 2006 in the offices of Supervisor Mirkarimi, located in Room 282 in San Francisco City Hall.
