The Shadow Views Visual Aid

For those of you who may have thought that The Shadow has left, fear not -- he has returned from a much needed vacation. The Shadow is back in full swing again

Our journey through the art world, took us first to San Francisco City Hall and the offices of San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi for his monthly "Third Fridays" art reception. The featured artist this month is Anders Barth in an exhibition put on by Visual Aid (more on them in a moment) entitled "Present Dangers."

One of the works by Anders Barth at the reception

The artist describes the exhibit best in her own words:

The series Present Dangers examines the violence which can occur in daily life. It may happen suddenly in the best of neighborhoods to the best of people. It may happen in the most tranquil of landscapes. The possibility of violence is inescapable
